The authors made an effort on describing the present status of Intermagnet activity regarding its one-minute sampling product. The manuscript contains heuristic explanation of both philosophical and technical aspects of Intermagnet giving the readers a short history of the international consortium as well as how reliable its one-minute definitive data (DD) are.
This referee thinks it a pretty good piece of review on the present status of Intermagnet DD. So, it is definitely worth publishing and I rate this manuscript as 'minor revision'.
As for my specific comments, refer to the annotated manuscript attached. I don't think this manuscript needs another round of peer-review, provided that the corresponding editor judges that the revision is in line with my specific comments.

This is an informative manuscript about the standards, expectations for, and value of the data products provided by the participating observatories within the INTERMAGNET network. It recognizes the merit of the work that is done by the Data Checking Task Team while outlining standards and methods for data checkers and observatories to consider while providing data.
